Charcoal Burners’ Fest held this weekend in Trippstadt
Trippstadt will celebrate its annual “Kohlenbrennerfest,” or charcoal burners’ fest, Saturday and Sunday. Besides the traditional burning of charcoal, the fest includes demonstrations of old craftsmanship, displays, children’s activities and live music.
Members of local clubs and associations are in charge of demonstrating the burning of charcoal.

For the second time, the city of Kaiserslautern and the local advertising association “Kaiser in Lautern” will sponsor a Halloween city parade Oct. 30.

Get medieval today at Gräfenstein Castle
For the 12th time, visitors of Gräfenstein Castle near Merzalben will be taken back to the Middle Ages during a medieval fest taking place today through Sunday. The event, organized by the community of Merzalben and the Phantasia Historica medieval group, will feature musical entertainment, juggling, show fights, fire shows and children’s activities.
