National Library Week celebrations

National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association each April, and libraries across the country are celebrating. Celebrate Tween Day, the conclusion of National Library Week, from from 3 to 4:30 p.m. today at Landstuhl Library, Bldg. 3810. Open to patrons of all ages; no registration
required.

CYSS family football trip

Are you ready for some tackle football? Child, Youth and School Services Youth Sports is offering a family trip to the opening season game featuring the K-Town Pikes vs. the Trier Stampers Saturday. A bus will depart from the Landstuhl Army and Air Force Exchange Service Express Station at 2 p.m and kick-off is at 3:30 p.m. This is a family trip and all youth must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Entrance to the game is free for CYSS families. Adults pay a $5 transportation fee and youth are free. Around the world bingo

The Ramstein Intermediate School PTA Around the World Bingo will be on Wednesday. Doors open at 5 p.m. Dinner will be served from 5:30 to 6 p.m. and games begin at 6. PTA Members are free.  Members pay $6 per adult, non-members $7 and kids eat free with a card-holding adult. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Bingo prizes are cool gift baskets. Raffle Grand Prize is USO tickets. The Grand Prize winner must be an RIS student. Wear your dirndl, lederhosen, or any costume from your favorite country. There will be a prize for the best dressed.

Mother’s Day Storytime

Rheinland-Pfalz Library invites preschoolers and their parents to a special Mother’s Day Storytime at 10:30 a.m. May 6 at Landstuhl Library, Bldg. 3810. Registration is requested no later than May 5. To register for this fun and free event and for more information, call 486-7322 or  06371-86-7322.
