Gartenschau celebrates summer night fest

The Gartenschau Kaiserslautern will celebrate its annual summer night fest Saturday. Starting at 6 p.m., the whole park will turn into festival grounds presenting musicians, fire dancers and food specialties. Bands will perform on stages near the entrance, on Kaiserberg hill and in Neumühlepark.

Children can enjoy some time on the adventure playgrounds and admire the dinosaurs.

The Gartenschau area, including the willow church, will be illuminated.
The trio Yes we Play! will present hits from the charts, ballads and rock ‘n’ roll oldies stating at 6:30 p.m. on the open-air stage in Neumühlepark. At 8 p.m., musicians and singers of The New Generation will begin with their entertaining stage show.

Waymond Harding, known as “The King of Soul,” will play his saxophone and sing at 7 p.m. on the stage at Kaiserberg hill.

The renowned regional band Nimm 2 will present piano pop and swing rarities at 8 p.m. near the entrance.

Around 11 p.m., the fest will close with fire dancers presenting an acrobatic fire show.

Tickets cost €7 for adults and €5 for youth. Children 6 to 16 years old pay €3. The family ticket for two adults and all own children is €17.
