This forum was to welcome back staff and faculty from the Department of
Defense Dependents Schools for Sembach, Vogelweh and Kaiserslautern.
The 431st Air Base Group commander, Col. Pete Ellis, also spoke at the
forum to welcome back the schools’ staff and faculty. The Educators’
Forum for Ramstein schools was Aug. 24.

Roads closed by schools

Motorists should be aware that with the start of school in the KMC, there are road closures and traffic pattern changes:
Ramstein – New York Avenue, adjacent to schools, is closed from 7:50 to 8:10 a.m. and from 2:45 to 3:10 p.m. weekdays.
Vogelweh − Kansas Avenue, adjacent to Kaiserslautern schools, is closed 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. and from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. daily. (Courtesy of School Liaison Office)

College Night seeks alumni

The annual Kaiserslautern College Information Night will be Oct. 19 at Ramstein American High School.
Many colleges and universities at the event are represented by alumni who live in or near Kaiserslautern. Anyone who would like to represent their alma mater should contact event organizers as soon as possible. E-mail

Farewell to summer

The program hosts the talent show as a farewell salute to summer.        

KAHS senior portraits, class photos

Senior portraits for Kaiserslautern American High School will be taken from 8:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sept. 9 in the school auditorium. Seniors should sign up as soon as possible.
 School pictures for ninth, tenth and eleventh grade students will be taken Sept. 11 and 12.
Students must pay for photos the day they are taken. Contact the school for more information.
