KMS teacher named district teacher of the year


***image1***Dorothy G. Goulet has been selected as the 2009 Kaiserslautern District Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Goulet, a French, U.S. History and Literature Enrichment teacher at Kaisers-lautern Middle School, is recognized for her exemplary performance as a member of the teaching staff of KMS. 

Her performance can be characterized by excellence in the classroom, military community involvement, contributions to the school’s Community Strategic Plan and professional development, the possession of positive inter-personal skills and most importantly, the demonstration of keen interest in the lives of military children.

 Mrs. Goulet adheres to the belief that all children can succeed and works diligently with all school stakeholders to ensure the academic success of each and every student. Her work with schoolwide and grade-level data have served as the basis on which success is met by all teachers in the school. Through her leadership as CSP chair, teachers now have a clear understanding of how daily data-driven instruction can impact all aspects of the school’s organization.

Mrs. Goulet is a military spouse and her commitment to the KMC includes volunteering and mentoring.

 Mrs. Goulet will represent the Kaiserslautern District at the DODEA Teacher of the Year Celebrations in November in Arlington. 

It is with deep and sincere congratulations that Mrs. Goulet represents the Kaiserslautern School District as 2009 Teacher of the Year.
