» The Great American Campout is a free event open to all military families. Bring your tents and sleeping bags and camp under the stars at Pulaski Park. Tent setup begins at 7 p.m. Aug. 15. » Open auditions for Junie B. Jones will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. Need an adult and child cast, ages 8 and older. Wear clothing that is comfortable to move in. A song will be taught at auditions and participants will be asked to cold read. Performances are at 7 p.m. Aug. 28, 29, Sept. 11 and 12; and at 3 p.m. Aug. 30 and Sept. 13. » Army Community Service’s 50th Birthday Celebration takes place July 24. Community members are invited to join ACS for free cake and coffee (while supplies last) at the Baumholder Java Cafe from 8 a.m. to noon and at the Rhine Ordnance Barracks Java Cafe from 1 to 5 p.m. A photo gallery of ACS photos highlighting years of service from staff members and volunteers will be displayed at both locations.
