» The German American and International Women’s Club Kaiserslautern will host a cooking show from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Moebel Martin furniture store in Kaiserslautern. » Kaiserslautern High School will present the musical “Bye Bye Birdie” at 7 p.m. today and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday in the KHS auditorium. Ramstein High School student volunteer musicians will accompany the musical, which will be directed by Jeanette Wild-Sievers, Laurie Clark and Linda Mench. Tickets cost $8 for adults and $5 for students; a family ticket, two adults and two students, is $20.

» A “Dinovember” photo contest is taking place at the Rheinland-Pfalz Library in Landstuhl. During Dinovember, take clever photos of toy dinosaurs doing exciting things and enter them into the Dinovember photo contest for a chance to win a prize. » A Harvest Time Gathering event will take pace Nov. 23 to 27 at the Rheinland-Pfalz Library in Landstuhl during its opening hours. Come and enjoy the harvest with refreshments and books. » A Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration will take place at 5 p.m. Dec. 4 at Pulaski Park. After the U.S. Army Garrison tree is lit, stick around for festivities in the park. » The Ramstein Officers’ Spouses Club will hold it’s annual Holiday Cookie Drive on Dec. 17. Cookies may be dropped off under the porte-cochere at the Officers’ Club on Ramstein, Bldg. 302, beginning at 6:30 a.m. The club asks that donators package their cookies in disposable containers to minimize breakage. » Introduction to Sewing: 1 to 3 p.m. every Saturday through
Nov. 21. Decorated, experienced costume volunteers teach you how to sew. Cost: $75 per student; $50 if you use your own sewing machine. Open to ages 12 and older; children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

» KMC Onstage presents “Mary Poppins”: Show dates:

» Open auditions for “Death of a Salesman”: 7 p.m. Dec. 8 and 9. A cast of eight men and five women is needed. Have a short song prepared and sheet music for an accompanist. Material for reading will be present at the audition, and scripts are available to check out in advance.

Armstrong’s Club Events

» A Rheinland-Pfalz Job Fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Kazabra Club on Vogelweh. » Comfort Measures and Relaxation for Childbirth takes place from 1 to 3 p.m. the third Friday of every month. Bring a partner or friend, water and wear comfortable clothes. Topics include: massage and acupressure, positions for labor, use of tools such as the birth ball, meditation and focusing techniques, aromatherapy, and hot and cold therapies. » Smooth Move takes place from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. Are you about to PCS to a new location? This class provides detailed information about the PCS process. » Sponsorship Training takes place from 3 to 4 p.m. Nov. 24. This course will help you fulfill the role as a sponsor for incoming personnel. Units sending students to training are required to preregister with Army Community Service to ensure that a unit-specific sign-in roster is available. »  Community Baby Shower takes place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the Rheinlander Convention Center on Smith Barracks, Bldg. 8085, for all expecting mothers in the Kaiserslautern and Baumholder communities, as well as families with infants up to 6 months of age. Car seat safety checks will take place from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Space is limited; reservations are recommended.
