» September is Library Card Sign-Up Month. Sign up for a free library card at Rheinland-Pfalz Landstuhl Library during the month of September, and you will be entered to win a prize. » USO Presents “Operation Thriller V,” Operation Thriller V Authors Tour. This tour is bringing three of today’s most critically acclaimed thriller authors, Diana Gabaldon, Kathleen Antrim and Tess Gerritsen along with the following events: Writer’s Workshop at 2 p.m. Sept. 13 at Landstuhl Elementary/Middle School Library; and two Meet and Greet sessions at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 13, at Landstuhl Elementary/Middle School Library and at 11 a.m. Sept. 14 at Heaton Hall Auditorium, Landstuhl Regional Medical Center. » A Non-Appropriated Funds Vehicle Auction will take place Tuesday through Sept. 15. Vehicles will be staged at the Pulaski Barracks Lemon Lot, the parking lot adjacent to the Pulaski Express gas station. Bids may be submitted at Pulaski Automotive Skills Center during opening hours. All bidders and purchasers must be in possession of a valid U.S. Army Europe license. Vehicles are sold as is; no warranties or guarantees included. » Hispanic Heritage Month: Sept. 15 through Oct. 15. Sept. 19: Kick-off party at the pub with live band Borinkuba; Oct. 3: a Double Six Traditional Domino Tournament. Players play in pairs. Sign-up no later than Sept. 11. No fee to participate. Winning couple receives $200; Oct. 17: The winning couple in each dance category, salsa, bachata and merengue, receives $100. No fee to participate. Sign-ups will be held from 9 to 11 p.m. the night of the event.

» Old School Hip-Hop and R&B Party: 9 p.m. Sept. 12. Nothing but old-school favorites will be spun by disc jockey Big Money.

» Conversational German courses are offered in two levels: beginner and intermediate. Participants will gain a better understanding of the written and verbal German language.
