NATO ISTAR Industry Showcase new to Ramstein

Ramstein is familiar with a technology exposition, but the NATO Intelligence, Surveillance, Targeting and Reconnaissance Industry Showcase is unlike anything that has happened on base before.

On Nov. 7 at the Ramstein Officers’ Club the NATO Allied Air Command Ramstein and U.S. Air Forces in Europe will bring the latest technologies in ISTAR to all personnel on base.

The NATO ISTAR Industry Showcase from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. will have more than 35 vendors from the U.S. and Europe displaying their ISTAR capabilities.

The purpose of this showcase is to help identify capability shortfalls and expose personnel to commercial systems and emerging technologies in order to close the gaps.

Some types of technologies that will be featured are airborne surveillance, geospatial intelligence solutions, imagery exploitation software, Internet decoding, remote sensing and special mission aircraft.

Twenty-minute presentations from industry will be held in conjunction with the showcase throughout the day. This is a chance to get a more in depth
look at the types of technologies vendors currently possess.

Presentations are open to all personnel at Ramstein.
