US Youth Soccer

The U.S Youth Soccer Europe – World Cup will take place Saturday and Sunday at the sports field in Schwe-del-bach (street for GPS: Am Kiefern-kopf). A total of 38 teams, with more than 400 soccer players, boys and girls, consisting of different age groups, will compete in several games. German teams from the region and U.S. teams from the KMC, Stuttgart and Wiesbaden will take part. Games will start at 9 a.m. A friendship game of the first U.S. youth soccer team playing the Schwedelbach team at 6 p.m. will close out Saturday. The last game Sunday is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Food and beverages will be offered. Children can take part in activities. Admission fee is free on both days.

Dog Jog

The next Family and MWR Sports & Fit-ness fun run is all about the dogs of our military com-munity and the humans who love them! On Aug. 19, bring your furry family member to the Rhine Ordnance Barracks Special Event Center, Bldg. 237. Registration is open from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., and the run will begin at 10 a.m. Dogs must be on a leash and friendly. Registration is $7 for adults, free for children and fur children. The first 100 registrants receive a free t-shirt. Prizes will be awarded for the top finishers in three categories. We will have swimming pools for the dogs to cool off, and water for the dogs and humans along the route. This event is stroller friendly.

Football Camp with
Brandon Collier

Learn tackle football skills from the pros! Youth Sports and Fitness presents two Premier Players International Development Football Camps with Brandon Collier (Former NFL & CFL Player) and special guests from the Frankfurt Universe Team. Camp #1: Tuesday to Thursday from 9 to 11:30 a.m., Camp # 2: July 25 to 27 from 9 to 11:30 a.m.. Cost: $60 per camp youth ages 10 to 16. Registration is open through Monday. Parent Exercise Room

The Landstuhl Fitness Center, Bldg. 3720 on Wilson Barracks, offers an exercise room for parents that features the latest in cardio equipment and a play area for your little ones to safely play or watch movies while you work out. Opening hours are Monday to Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and holidays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Landstuhl Fitness Center, Wilson Barracks, Bldg. 3720. Twilight Basketball

Beginning July 7, USAG Rheinland-Pfalz Sports and Fitness will offer twilight basketball games every other Friday night from 9 to 11 p.m. at Hall of Champions Fitness Center, Smith Barracks, Bldg. 8105, in Baumholder. These games are open to all ID card holders.

Outdoor Fitness Boot Camp

Enjoy the sunny weather while our fit and fabulous trainers put you through a series of exercises to improve strength, agility, power, and balance. Outdoor Fitness boot camps will be offered throughout the summer every second Wednesday of the month on Minick Field, located beside Hall of Champions Fitness Center, across from the entrance to Strikers Bowling Center.
