Unit-level flag football championships

Come and cheer on the best unit-level flag football teams as they compete for the 2016 trophy and bragging rights. The U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz unit-level flag football championships will be held at 6 p.m. Monday to Thursday at the Kaiserslautern Army Depot field near Daenner Kaserne. Awards will be presented to the first, second and third place teams, first and second place individuals, and the MVP. Unit-level basketball sign-ups

Units wishing to participate in unit-level basketball are asked to register no later than Nov. 8. A coaches meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Nov. 10 at Rhine Ordnance Barracks Fitness Center, Bldg. 172. Unit-level basketball is open to all ID cardholders, ages 18 and older. Veteran’s Day soccer clinic

Get a free taste of the SKIESUnlimited soccer program on Veteran’s Day, Nov. 11. Our licensed coaching staff will spend time going over basic soccer fundamentals and skills for all ages and abilities. No need to worry about the weather, the clinic will be held at the indoor soccer arena inside of the Rhine Ordnance Barracks Special Events Center, Bldg. 237. Clinic times are as follows: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for ages 7 to 18; 2 to 3 p.m. for ages 5 to 6; and 3 to 4 p.m. for ages 3 to 4. Participants must register by Nov. 9 through Parent Central Services on Pulaski Barracks, Bldg. 2898, at 493-4516/4122 or 0631-3406-4516/4122.

Fall-winter indoor soccer

Join SKIESUnlimited during fall and winter months and participate in indoor soccer lessons for youth. Lessons are held at the indoor soccer arena at the Special Events Center on Rhine Ordnance Barracks, Bldg. 237. The licensed coaching staff is made up of current German team coaches and former professional soccer players. Open to ages 3 to 17 and all soccer skill levels, including basic, intermediate and advanced. Youth will develop basic and fundamental soccer skills as well as tactics, formations and much more. With regular training and practices of specific techniques, coaches will guide children along fun-filled, yet challenging, drills and scrimmages. KMC Youth Sports Program is looking for coaches in various sports programs. Age groups range from 5 to 15 years old for cheerleading and soccer, and ages 7 to 15 for flag football. Youth basketball club

An open basketball club for youth ages 12 to 17 years old is held from 4 to 5 p.m. every Monday from September to June at the Realschule on Schernauer Strasse 31, Ramstein-Miesenbach, in the Sporthalle.
