PA Closure
The 86th Airlift Wing Public Affairs office will be closed on Thursday. Normal operations will resume Aug. 25.

Bazaar Round-Up Social
The Ramstein Officers’ Spouses Club will meet for a Bazaar Round-Up Social 9:30 a.m. Aug. 27 at the Ramstein Officers’ Club. Meet new friends, and learn all about how the upcoming bazaar benefits the community. Make reservations by Aug. 21 at www.ramsteinosc.org. Mammography services open
All beneficiaries are eligible for mammography services at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center. This includes active duty, retirees, DOD civilians and all family members. There are currently no significant wait times for screening or diagnostic mammogram appointments, and patients can schedule a mammogram today without a referral from your Primary Care Manager. To schedule an appointment, call the LRMC Mammography scheduling line at 590-6331 or 06371-9464-6331.The American Cancer Society and the American College of Radiology recommend yearly screening mammograms beginning at age 40. LRMC will accept patients for self-referral screening mammograms even if they do not have an assigned Primary Care Manager. Additionally, the Mammography Department will allow walk-ins 8 to 10:30 a.m. and 1 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesdays for mammogram screenings. School bags needed
The Protestant Parish Office Kaiserslautern is looking for school bags for students (mainly grades 1 to 4) from needy families. Satchels, backpacks and other school bags are needed. Golf tournament
The Hispanic Heritage Committee Golf Tournament will take place Aug. 28 at the Woodlawn Golf Course on Ramstein. Entry fee is $50 per person and $40 for course members. Orientation tour
USO will offer a free new orientation tour, “Welcome to Kaiserslautern,” Tuesday. Newcomers will depart 8 a.m. from the Vogelweh Bowling Center and 8:30 a.m. in front of the Ramstein Passenger Terminal, Bldg. 3333. Tour participants will receive a historical overview of Kaiserslautern, hear some local legends and get many practical tips from experienced guides. It is recommended to bring euros for lunch and shopping. The tour is free, but interested participants must sign up at one of the USO offices. Estimated return time is 4:10 p.m. on Ramstein, and 4:30 p.m. on Vogelweh. Other dates will be Sept. 27, Oct. 18, Nov. 11 and Dec. 6.

Ramstein Civilian Personnel Informational Town Hall
The Ramstein Civilian Personnel Section will be hosting an informational town hall Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014, at 1 p.m. in the Hercules Theater, bldg. 2101, on Ramstein Air Base. Primary topic of discussion focuses on the recent announcement of Appropriated Funds (APF) employee reductions. All Air Force APF employees and their supervisors are encouraged to attend.
