Another brick in the road to transformation was laid April 16 when the 18th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion transferred authority of Ammunition Supply Points 1 and 2 to the Theater Logistics Support Center, Europe during a ceremony at the Tower Theater, Grafenwoehr.

Capt. Jerome Barnard, 529th Ordnance Company deputy director of support operations at TLSC-E, handed the certificate of authority to Theresa Holmes, director of the Reserve Storage Activity Miesau.

“Although we no longer have command and control of the ASPs, we look forward to a good working relationship with the 21st Theater Support Command’s TLSC-E,” Captain Barnard said.

RSAM, which falls under the jurisdiction of the 21st TSC, is currently managed by the 191st Ordnance Company.

It is located at Miesau Army Depot, the largest ammunition storage area outside the U.S. that receives, stores, transships, inspects, inventories and maintains ammunition stock records accounting.
