Chief Master Sgt. Kaleth O. Wright was selected as the new U. S. Air Forces in Europe and Air Forces Africa command chief master sergeant.

As the command chief, Wright is the senior enlisted advisor to the commander on all matters affecting operations, training and readiness, health, morale and welfare, discipline and effective use of more than 32,000 total-force personnel assigned to eight wings and 88 geographically separated units responsible for operations across 104 countries.

“It’s a huge honor to be selected for such a prestigious opportunity,” Wright said. “I look forward to continuing the great work and building on the relationships I already have with the staff and the wings across USAFE-AFAFRICA.”

Currently, Wright is the 3rd Air Force and 17th Expeditionary Air Force command chief master sergeant at Ramstein.

Wright entered the Air Force in March 1989. He has served in leadership roles at the squadron, group, wing, numbered Air Force and major command levels. Prior to his current position, he served as the 9th Air and Space Expeditionary Task Force command chief in Kabul, Afghanistan.

Wright assumes his new duties June 12. He succeeds Chief Master Sgt. James E. Davis who will retire in June after 30 years of service in the Air Force.
