• Winners of SWR Young Opera Stars perform with German Radio Philharmonics Saarbruecken Kaiserslautern 5 p.m. Sunday. Tickets range from €12 to €26.

• Bolivar Soloists present works “From Bach to Brasilia and Brasch,” and Anna Thalbach reads poems, 5 p.m. Jan. 22. Tickets cost €14, €20 and €25.

• Kaiserslautern, Gartenschau event hall, ice-skating rink open through Feb. 11. Daily skating hours are from 9 a.m. to noon, 1 to 3 p.m., 4 to 6 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. On Friday and Saturday nights, skating hours are extended until 10 p.m. Admission fee is €2.50 for children and €3.50 for adults.
