The three ladies perform a stage show highlighting swing music. Gartenschau visitors can also enjoy the Lego display and the flower show in the flower hall. Kaiserslautern, Volkspark (duck pond at corner of Entersweiler-/Donnersberger Strasse):
• Outdoor concert with the music association Kottweiler-Schwanden presenting “Appassionato Brass Music,” 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free. An ecumenical worship service will follow the concert. Snacks and beverages are available in bistro. Children’s adventure playground is next to music pavilion.

Kaiserslautern, Bremerhof beergarden, Bremerhof 1:
• Volker Klimmer Band performs at 7 p.m. Thursday. Admission is free.

Landstuhl, Nanstein Castle:
• International Castle Jazz Festival with various performers, 7 p.m. today and Saturday. Advance tickets for €20 are available at book store Boehm in the Landstuhl train station. Tickets at the door are €24.

Ramstein-Miesenbach, stage in front of Rathaus:
• Ramstein’s Summer Nights presents: Cuban Night with the band Cuban Affairs, 8 p.m. July 22; Italian Night with Luigi Botta and Friends, 8 p.m. July 29; Jamaican Night with Superjam, 8 p.m.
Aug. 5; American Night with the 313th Army Band, 8 p.m. Aug. 12; Brazilian Night with band Mundo Latino performing a Viva Brazil dance show, 8 p.m. Aug. 19; and African Night with Voodoo Beat featuring Djembe Africa, 8 p.m. Aug. 26. Admission to all outdoor performances is free.

More than 220 exhibits from 2,000 years revive this essential Asian theme. There are art pieces from India, China, Japan, Cambodia, Thailand and Tibet. Numerous private collectors show off their items to the public for the very first time. Admission to the iron works facility and display is €15. Children under 18 are free. • Kaiserslautern, Gartenschau (dino park), open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, through Oct. 3. Special events: Protestant worship service at 11 a.m. Sunday in willow church and Music in the Park with the Rosevalley Sisters presenting harmony singing from the 1930s and 1940s at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The children’s tent opens for games and crafting from 2 to 5 p.m. through Aug. 28 in Neumuehlepark. The flower show, “Fabulous Fairytale,” open through Aug. 28 in flower hall. Lego display in exhibition hall open through Oct. 31. Tickets cost €7 for adults, and €3 for children.

• Kaiserslautern, Japanese Garden, Am Abendsberg 1, open to Oct. 31. Summer fest Tanabata presents traditional Japanese percussion performances, dances and tea ceremonies, 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday. Tickets cost €5.50 for adults and €3 for children.

• Mittelbrunn, schnaps burner fest, Saturday and Sunday.

• Falkenstein Castle, guided tour through ruins in moonlight, along illuminated trails, 8 p.m. today and Saturday. Hikers meet at open-air stage next to Burgstubb restaurant, Haupstrasse 49 in 67808 Falkenstein. They should bring torch lights and wear sturdy shoes. Admission is €3.
