Culinary hike in Rodenbach
The sixth culinary hike in Rodenbach takes place Saturday and Sunday. Walkers will pass seven stations where they can taste culinary specialties and wines by regional caterers, butchers and vintners along about 4 km of mostly paved trails. The hike begins with an opening ceremony at 1 p.m. Saturday and ends around 9 p.m. Activities on Sunday are from 10 a.m. to about 7 p.m. Participants can buy a wine pass for €7 and will receive a small glass to taste wines at each wine station. The passes can be obtained at the two information stands. Children can jump on a bouncy castle and get their faces painted. Participants can park their vehicles on parking lots in the Industriegebiet Nord, Hans-Geiger-Strasse, Kaiserslautern, the industrial area between Vogelweh and Weilerbach, along state road L367, and start their route here following the signs. The Gartenschau Kaiserslautern presents the Seventh Rheinland-Pfalz Pumpkin Weighing Championship at 1 p.m. Sunday near the Gartenschau Kaiserslautern entrance.
