Department of Defense officials have approved the Humanitarian Service
Medal for service members who participated in humanitarian assistance
and disaster relief operations in Pakistan following the flooding in
Swat Valley on July 31, 2010.
At 26 tons, with two turbine engines, and with the capability of hauling
12 tons of payload, the CH-47F Chinook heavy transport helicopter is
one of the heaviest rotary wing aircraft in the U.S. military.
U.S. Air Forces in Europe officials announced the 2010 Outstanding Airmen of the Year winners April 21.
A two-week medical exercise, in partnership with the Armed Forces of the
Democratic Republic of the Congo and U.S. Air Forces Africa, focusing
on aeromedical evacuation kicked off today at the Centre Superior
Militaire Academy here.
I was out on the baseball field the other day watching some players go
