The Ramstein Health and Wellness Center, in collaboration with the physical therapy clinic and the Ramstein Aquatics Center, created a deep-water rehabilitation class Feb. 5.
On Feb. 16 and 17, the Kaiserslautern Kingfish swim team, along with 18 other swim teams, descended on the National Swimming Center of the Netherlands for the 2013 European Forces Swim League Championships.
This year, 11 teams from around Europe, comprising U.S. and NATO military members, traveled to the Olympia-Eissport-Zentrum to compete in the three-day tournament for the much sought-after championship cup, including the KMC Eagles.
“Pilates is a systematic set of 34 movements used to work the power house, or core, of your body along with other major muscle groups,” said Pilates instructor Teresa Romanowicz. “It focuses on breathing and putting the body back into its natural form of alignment.”
Vacationers who don’t want to stand in front of closed shops, banks and grocery stores while visiting other countries should know when those foreign countries observe national holidays.
