A great way to soothe the hearts and minds of the children who are left home is outreach through the Deployment Buddies program.

The Air Force is and will continue to be affected by the changes in funding levels that are being discussed. Many of the most visible and personal effects of these changes are likely to occur in the realm of personnel pay, retention and benefits.

Their journey started months ago and brought them all the way to Germany to benefit U.S. Soldiers and their allies. The trip is the result of coordination between multiple U.S. Army organizations and civilian contractors and included ramps, trains, cranes and boats. Now, they have arrived.

The more than 50 units assigned to Ramstein Air Base, including geographically separated units, require well-trained, physically and mentally ready Airmen. In order for Airmen to be deployment ready, units like the 86th Logistics Readiness Squadron need aggressive, straight forward and driven unit deployment managers.
