Heimkirchen, part of the City of Niederkirchen, will sponsor an “old world” culinary hike from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. The scenic hiking route is 5.5 kilometers long and features 10 stations, where only Palatinate specialties from the so-called “old world” will be served.

For the 13th time, Kaiserslautern will sponsor its annual “Long Night of Culture” Saturday to Sunday. The event will feature more than 120 performances, presentations and displays in 20 locations, including the Fruchthalle, Emmerich-Smola Music School, Theodor-Zink Museum, Pfalztheater, Pfalzgalerie Museum, youth center, Apostelkirche, Stifts-kirche, Hoffnungskirche, Union Theater for film arts and the Japanese Garden.
