Banding together, forging lasting bonds and rising up to face adversity head-on are concepts often related to the armed forces, but these connections are not limited to the battlefield – at least not the traditional ones.
On Saturday and Sunday, Kaiserslautern’s advertising association, Kaiser in Lautern, will offer a spring market combined with a car exhibition and Sunday shopping. The city of Kaiserslautern is co-sponsoring the event as a way to say goodbye to winter and promote local businesses.
The Association for the Advancement of German-French Partnership will sponsor its 21st annual Easter market from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Niederkirchen’s Westpfalzhalle. Volunteers helped to decorate the community hall with colorful flowers and Easter decorations to lure a lot of visitors from all over.

The 86th Medical Group is now offering enrollment for TRICARE Plus eligible beneficiaries. TRICARE Plus is a program that allows beneficiaries who normally are only eligible to get care at a military treatment facility on a space-available basis to enroll at the MTF for primary care services and the appointed primary care manager.
Team Ramstein welcomed 10 celebrities to the base during the USO Spring Troop Visit March 3.
Maj. Gen. John O’Connor, 21st Theater Sustainment Command commander, and Maj. Gen. Hans Erich Antoni, Bundeswehr Logistics Command commander, signed a Memorandum of Agreement March 5 at Panzer Kaserne. This event marked the first formal renewal of the U.S.-German military logistics partnership in almost 20 years.
Command Sgt. Maj. Rodney J. Rhoades, senior enlisted leader of the 21st Theater Sustainment Command, recognized a military police member for his integrity and doing the right thing during a gathering March 5 on Sembach Kaserne.
