A player from the KMC Eagles 1 hockey team faces off against an opposing player during a game Feb. 25 in Viernheim, Germany. The Eagles 1 were named the 23rd annual Armed Forces Alpine Classic Division I Champions during a tournament in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany.

On Saturday and Sunday, Kaiserslautern’s advertising association, Kaiser in Lautern, will offer a spring market combined with a car exhibition and Sunday shopping. The city of Kaiserslautern is co-sponsoring the event as a way to say goodbye to winter and promote local businesses.

The Association for the Advancement of German-French Partnership will sponsor its 21st annual Easter market from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Niederkirchen’s Westpfalzhalle. Volunteers helped to decorate the community hall with colorful flowers and Easter decorations to lure a lot of visitors from all over.

MDG offers TRICARE Plus enrollment

The 86th Medical Group is now offering enrollment for TRICARE Plus eligible beneficiaries. TRICARE Plus is a program that allows beneficiaries who normally are only eligible to get care at a military treatment facility on a space-available basis to enroll at the MTF for primary care services and the appointed primary care manager.
