May carnival continues through Monday
The Kaiserslautern “Maikerwe,” or “May carnival,” with more than 140 ride owners and vendors presenting their attractions, merchandise and food specialties, closes out with a fireworks display around 10 p.m. Monday. Rides are open from 1 to 11 p.m. each day and until midnight Saturday. Additionally, stores are open form 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday. For details, visit www.kaiserslautern.de.

State fair takes place June 3 to 5 in Alzey

The annual Rheinland-Pfalz State Fair will take place June 3 to 5 in the city of Alzey. Cities and union communities of the state of Rheinland-Pfalz, charity organizations and military forces will participate in the fair to demonstrate who they are and what they have to offer.
