Fuels specialists are also responsible for operating the vehicles, equipment and storage facilities that are essential to the refueling operation, while also ensuring the compliance of all safety regulations involved with handling these volatile liquids.

Christian Kampa, 786th Civil Engineer Squadron structural maintainer, dumps old mortar into a bin while doing maintenance work at the Ramstein Aquatic Center Dec. 15. Maintenance work included replacing old tiles in the pools, redoing grout work and replacing old slides in the children’s area.

Kaleth Wright, U.S. Air Forces in Europe and Air Forces Africa command chief, before a crowd of Airmen and civilians at the 86th Comptroller Squadron on Ramstein. “What I think is important for all of you is deliberate development. There are tons of opportunities for you to grow, develop, and be a better person, but sometimes we’re not as deliberate as we should be.”
