Saturday Night Comedy Show

An American based in London, Russell Hicks headlines the Comedy Meets Baumholder Show Oct. 18 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Tavern on the Rock, Rheinlander Community Club, Bldg. 8105 on Smith Barracks. Feature Comedians are Erin Crouch, and Jack Holmes, who headlined the first Kazabra Comedy show in 2021. Guest host is Dizzy the Host. This is an 18+ event. Trunkin’ Treats in Baumholder

Register your trunk by Oct. 23 for the free Trunkin’ Treats on Oct. 31 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. in the parking lot in front of the Hall of Champions Physical Fitness Center, Bldg. 3105, and the Wagon Wheel Theater on Smith Barracks. Bring the entire family to this spooktacular event on Oct. 31.

Other fun activities offered: Halloween movies, snacks and a costume contest takes place at the Wagon Wheel Theater and Boo Lane Night from 3-8 p.m. at Strikers Bowling Center, Bldg. 8105 on Smith Barracks. Holiday Bazaar

The Holiday Bazaar is a shopper’s paradise for all your shopping needs. The Holiday Bazaar is from Friday, Nov. 7 to Sunday, Nov. 9 at the Family & MWR Special Events Center, Bldg. 237 on Rhine Ordnance Barracks. Hours of shopping are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday. There will be a multitude of vendors offering everything from pottery, antiques, wine, cheese, jewelry, and so much more. All prices in U.S. dollars, with only debit and credit cards accepted. Military Libraries Week

Military Libraries Week is Nov. 2 to 8. This year’s theme is “Military Libraries – Your Strategic Advantage” and this year’s spotlight is on MWR libraries, librarians and library technicians who serve as the heart of military community support.  Stop by one of the Army Family and MWR libraries at Baumholder, Kleber and Landstuhl this week to explore what’s available and help celebrate the impact of military libraries around the world. Come see how your library is part of your strategic edge. AFE Brings the Rush: Pro Blitz Baumholder  

The Armed Forces Entertainment, and Family and MWR present AFE Pro Blitz – Indianapolis Colts’ Cheerleaders. Meet and greet NFL cheerleaders Nov. 17 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Baumholder Hall of Champions Physical Fitness Center, Bldg. 8105 on Smith Barracks. This is a free event, which includes a free youth cheer clinic, for ages 5 to 18, a mini show performed by the Indianapolis Colts’ Cheerleaders, and ending with a meet and greet. For those who want to participate in the cheer clinic, they must enroll with Parent Central Services located at Bldg. 8876 on Wetzel Kaserne. Serving Heroes Military Appreciation Meal

The Gary Sinise Foundation in partnership with Army Family and MWR presents a free “Serving Heroes” appreciation meal Nov. 19 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Rheinlander Community Club, Bldg. 8085 on Smith Barracks. This buffet-style meal is open to all U.S & Allied, Active-Duty Service Members, Veterans and first responders. This is a part of the Gary Sinise Foundation’s heartfelt mission to honor “Our Defenders, Veterans, First Responders & Their Families.” Come enjoy a warm, classic American meal and connect with others in a spirit of gratitude and community. Java Café Fall for Pumpkin Special

Landstuhl Car Wash Winter Promotion

Landstuhl Car Wash will offer a winter special throughout November to help customers protect their vehicles from seasonal damage. Regular use of the car wash, especially the under-spray feature, helps remove salt and grime buildup that can lead to rust and corrosion. Discounted rates for the month include the Ultimate Wash for $13 and the Superior Wash for $11. Customers who receive an oil change or tire service and present a same-day receipt to the attendant—weather permitting—will receive further discounts: $12 for the Ultimate Wash and $10 for the Superior Wash.

Contracted Lifeguard Positions

Volunteer Coaches Needed for Winter Season

Baumholder Youth Sports and Fitness is recruiting volunteer coaches for the upcoming winter season. Coaches are needed for basketball (ages 5–15), cheer (ages 5–15), bowling (ages 8–15), volleyball (ages 9–15), Brazilian jiu jitsu (ages 3–15) and indoor soccer (ages 5–15). Volunteer benefits include eligibility for hours toward awards and promotion, up to a 100 percent discount on sports fees for enrolled children, exclusive Baumholder sports gear and the opportunity to make a positive impact on the community and its mission. Pickleball Tournament

Registration for the Pickleball Tournament is now until Nov. 14. The tournament will be held on Friday, Nov. 21 from 5:30 to 10 p.m. at the Sembach Physical Fitness Center, Bldg. 105 on Sembach Kaserne. Registration is available at Sembach, Kleber, ROB, Landstuhl, Miesau, Hall of Champions and Mountaineer Physical Fitness Centers. Team consists of two players, who are ages 18 and older. Maximum number of teams is 10.  Tournament format is double-elimination, and best out of three games.  Additional rules concerning game play will be available at registration. Wine and Yoga

Uncork & Unwind: Yoga with a Splash of Wine will be held Nov. 14 and 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Kazabra Club, Bldg. 2057 on Vogelweh. The 18-and-over event offers a relaxing evening of social networking followed by a rejuvenating yoga session. Admission is $15 and includes two glasses of wine. Participants must bring their own yoga mats. Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or just looking to unwind after a long day, this event offers the perfect blend of movement and mindfulness. Rocky Horror Shadow Show

KMC Onstage Studio Shows presents the Rocky Horror Shadow Show Friday, Oct. 24 and 25, at the Landstuhl Community Club, Bldg. 3780 on Landstuhl Post. The preshow is at 9 p.m., and the show is at 10 p.m. Cost is $20 per person, which includes a prop bag. This event is for ages 18 and older. Theater goers are encouraged to dress as their favorite cult classic character and have a blast. Details at kaiserslautern.armymwr.com.

Halloween 5K Costume Fun Run

The Fitness, Athletics and Aquatics Program hosts a 5K Halloween Fun Run, Oct. 25 at 10 a.m. at the Family and MWR Special Events Center, Bldg. 237 on Rhine Ordnance Barracks. The cost is $8 per person, children under 12 years old are free. Signups are at 9:30 a.m. at the event or participants can register through WebTrac on Kaiserslautern.armymwr.com.  Come dressed in your favorite costume! Boo-Lane Night

Celebrate Halloween with a Boo-Lane Night on Halloween night, Friday, Oct. 31, from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Strikers Bowling Center, Bldg. 8105 on Smith Barracks in Baumholder. Dog Obedience Training

Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation has dog obedience training starting at eight-weeks of age held Saturdays at the Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation Motor Pool, Bldg. 2902 on Pulaski Barracks. Classes are one hour, with time slots between 9 a.m. to noon depending on the size of the dog. Cost is $15 per dog. This fee must be paid in advance by close of business Friday either in person at Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation or by calling 493-4117 or 0631-3406-4117. SKIES Gymnastics

Enrollment is now open for SKIES Unlimited gymnastics for ages 1 to 18 in the Kaiserslautern Community. SOS Survivor Support Group

The Army Community Service Survivor Outreach Services hosts a SOS Survivor Support Group second Thursday of every month from 5 to 7 p.m. in Building 3820 (next to the Thrift Shop), second floor conference room on Landstuhl Post. Registration is required and must be done by 2 p.m. the day of the meeting by calling the ACS front desk at 531-2863/2851 or 0611-143-531-2863/2851. This is an ongoing monthly support group for surviving family members of deceased active duty service members.

Latin Nights at the Rheinlander!

The last Friday of the month is Latin Night from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., in the ballroom of the Rheinlander Community Club, Bldg. 8085 on Smith Barracks. The Salsa Band Borinkuba will perform live several Latin music favorites, such as Salsa, Merengue and Bachata.  Food is available from 8 to 11 p.m. This event is for those 18 and older, who are I.D. card holders.
