5K Leftover Run

Show your spirit of Thanksgiving and dress as your favorite Thanksgiving-related character for the Leftover 5k Fun Run on Nov. 29 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Family and MWR Special Events Center, Bldg. 237 on Rhine Ordnance Barracks. Cost is $8 per runner. Cost is free for children under 12 years old. The first three male, female and child finishers will receive medals. The first 20 participants who show up at the event will receive a T-shirt from previously conducted runs. Participants can walk or run. Youth Dodgeball Clinic

Enrollments for the Dodgeball Clinic, for ages 7 to 15, is now to Nov. 28. The clinic will be held from Dec. 1 to 5 on Landstuhl Post. Cost is $35. The new CYS Dodgeball program is all about high energy fun! Children play different versions and variations of dodgeball and even learn different strategies. Dodgeball is an excellent game for developing hand/eye coordination all while being a tremendous cardio workout. Arts & Crafts Center Seeks Skilled Instructors

The Arts & Crafts Center, located in Bldg. 8104 on Smith Barracks, is seeking instructors to teach mosaic, stained glass, painting and other specialized artistic skills. Volunteer or contractor options are available. Joyful Moments at Java Café

The Java Café Winter Drink Special “Joyful Moments” is happening now until Jan. 5. The special is Toffee Nut Latte, Toffee Nut Frappuccino and Hot Chocolate. Landstuhl Car Wash Winter Promotion

Landstuhl Car Wash will offer a winter special throughout November to help customers protect their vehicles from seasonal damage. Regular use of the car wash, especially the under-spray feature, helps remove salt and grime buildup that can lead to rust and corrosion. Discounted rates for the month include the Ultimate Wash for $13 and the Superior Wash for $11. Customers who receive an oil change or tire service and present a same-day receipt to the attendant—weather permitting—will receive further discounts: $12 for the Ultimate Wash and $10 for the Superior Wash.

Contracted Lifeguard Positions

Volunteer Coaches Needed for Winter Season

Baumholder Youth Sports and Fitness is recruiting volunteer coaches for the upcoming winter season. Coaches are needed for basketball (ages 5–15), cheer (ages 5–15), bowling (ages 8–15), volleyball (ages 9–15), Brazilian jiu jitsu (ages 3–15) and indoor soccer (ages 5–15). Volunteer benefits include eligibility for hours toward awards and promotion, up to a 100 percent discount on sports fees for enrolled children, exclusive Baumholder sports gear and the opportunity to make a positive impact on the community and its mission. Start Smart Basketball

Enrollments for Start Smart Basketball for ages 3 to 4 are now until Nov. 28 or when sessions are full.  Cost is $30 per session. Location is in Landstuhl. Sessions are offered Dec. 2 to 4, and 9 to 11 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Morning sessions are from 10 to 10:45 am., and evening sessions are from 5 to 5:45 p.m. Start Smart is a parent/child interactive program led by a Sports and Fitness Specialist. Start Smart teaches children the skills they need to play organized sports in a FUN, non-competitive environment in four, 45-minute sessions. Santa’s Special

Registration for Start Smart Winter Season for the Baumholder community is now to Dec. 14.  Start Smart is a Child/ Parent interactive program led by a CYS Sports & Fitness Specialist. Cost is $30. Sports offered are basketball, ages 3 and 4, and Cheer, ages 3 and 4, and Move & Play (ages 2 and 3). Baumholder Youth Winter Sports Season Registration

Registration for winter youth sports for the Baumholder community is now to Dec. 14. Sports offered are basketball, ages 5 to 15, and cheerleading, ages 5 to 15. Cost is $65. A current Health Assessment/ Sports Physical must be on file and valid until March 15, 2026, to participate.  Sports clinics offered are bowling (ages 8 to 15), volleyball (ages 8 to 15), Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, (ages 3 to 12), indoor soccer, (ages 5 to 15) and pre-season strength and conditioning (ages 5 to 18). Blended Learning Lifeguard Class

Registration opens now until Nov. 15 for the Blended Learning Lifeguard Class at Baumholder Aquatic center, Bldg. 8895 on Smith Barracks. Classes are from Nov. 18 to 22, from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The course fee is $175. Upon registration, participants will receive a link to the online portion of the course, which must be completed before the first day of class and presented to the instructor. Free Line Dance Workshops

Free line dance instruction workshops will be held on Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Armstrong’s Club, Bldg. 1036 on Vogelweh Housing. The next session is Dec. 4 and 18. Donuts with Santa

Dog Obedience Training

Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation has dog obedience training starting at eight-weeks of age held Saturdays at the Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation Motor Pool, Bldg. 2902 on Pulaski Barracks. Classes are one hour, with time slots between 9 a.m. to noon depending on the size of the dog. Cost is $15 per dog. This fee must be paid in advance by close of business Friday either in person at Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation or by calling 493-4117 or 0631-3406-4117. SKIES Gymnastics

Enrollment is now open for SKIES Unlimited gymnastics for ages 1 to 18 in the Kaiserslautern Community. SOS Survivor Support Group

The Army Community Service Survivor Outreach Services hosts a SOS Survivor Support Group second Thursday of every month from 5 to 7 p.m. in Building 3820 (next to the Thrift Shop), second floor conference room on Landstuhl Post. Registration is required and must be done by 2 p.m. the day of the meeting by calling the ACS front desk at 531-2863/2851 or 0611-143-531-2863/2851. This is an ongoing monthly support group for surviving family members of deceased active duty service members.

Latin Nights at the Rheinlander!

The last Friday of the month is Latin Night from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., in the ballroom of the Rheinlander Community Club, Bldg. 8085 on Smith Barracks. The Salsa Band Borinkuba will perform live several Latin music favorites, such as Salsa, Merengue and Bachata.  Food is available from 8 to 11 p.m. This event is for those 18 and older, who are I.D. card holders.
