Resident Artists Workshop
Local artist Nahjier Williams leads Resident Artist Workshops on Feb. 11, May 13 and Aug. 12 at 3 p.m. at the Baumholder Library, Bldg. 8332 on Smith Barracks. The handson program invites participants ages 6 and older to explore art techniques, create original work and connect with others in a guided studio setting. Registration for Baumholder 2026 Youth Spring Sports Season
Registration for Spring Youth Sports for the Baumholder community is March 2 to 29. Sports offered are baseball (ages 5 to 15) and Track & Field (ages 6 to 15). Cost is $65.The following clinics are also available: Cheer, (ages 5 to 15), Archery (ages 9 to 15), Golf (ages 8 to 15), Volleyball (ages 8 to 15), Soccer, (Ages 5 to 15), Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (ages 6 to 12), and Softball (ages 8 to 15). Cost for each clinic is $50. A current Health Assessment/ Sports Physical must be filed and valid until June 15 to participate. Auditions: Legally Blonde
The Award-Winning KMC Onstage is holding auditions for Legally Blonde: The Musical on Monday and Tuesday, March 2 and 3 at 7 p.m. at KMC Onstage, Bldg. 3232 on Kleber Kaserne. Legally Blonde: The Musical is a popular, upbeat stage adaptation of the beloved movie, following sorority girl Elle Woods as she gets into Harvard Law School to win back her ex, discovering her own potential and proving stereotypes wrong. Experience is not necessary. Those auditioning are asked to bring 30 to 60 seconds of music to sing. There will also be a cold-reading audition from the script. Auditions are open to ages 16+. Spring Bazaar
Spring Bazaar kicks off the season March 13 to 15 at the Special Events Center, Bldg. 237 on Rhine Ordnance Barracks, offering shoppers three days of European goods and specialty finds. Hours run 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Vendors will showcase pottery, antiques, wine, cheese, jewelry and other unique items, with all prices in U.S. dollars and cashless payments only. Open Mic Night
Open Mic Night will bring poems, songs and comedy on March 27 from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Kazabra Club, Bldg. 2057 on Vogelweh. The 18+ event charges a $10 admission fee for audience members. Volunteer Coaches Needed for Spring Season
Baumholder Youth Sports and Fitness is recruiting volunteer coaches for the upcoming Spring season. Coaches are needed for Baseball, Track and Field, Soccer, Golf, Archery, Softball, Cheerleading, Volleyball, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Volunteer benefits include eligibility for hours toward awards and promotion, up to a 100 percent discount on sports fees for enrolled children, exclusive Baumholder sports gear and the opportunity to make a positive impact on the community and its mission. Dog Obedience Training
Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation has dog obedience training starting at eight-weeks of age held Saturdays at the Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation Motor Pool, Bldg. 2902 on Pulaski Barracks. Classes are one hour, with time slots between 9 a.m. to noon depending on the size of the dog. Cost is $15 per dog. The Army Community Service Survivor Outreach Services hosts a SOS Survivor Support Group second Thursday of every month from 5 to 7 p.m. in Building 3820 (next to the Thrift Shop), second floor conference room on Landstuhl Post. This is an ongoing monthly support group for surviving family members of deceased active duty service members.
Latin Nights at the Rheinlander!
The last Friday of the month is Latin Night from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., in the ballroom of the Rheinlander Community Club, Bldg. 8085 on Smith Barracks. The Salsa Band Borinkuba will perform live several Latin music favorites, such as Salsa, Merengue and Bachata.
