MWR Closure July 31

All Family and MWR facilities will be closed on Friday, July 31, in support of the Garrison Organizational Day. Normal scheduled operations will resume on Saturday, Aug. 1. Details can be found at baumholder.armymwr.com or kaiserslautern.armymwr.com.

Landstuhl Library Programs Paused in August

The Landstuhl Library Program will be pausing their programing during the month of August so they can plan programing for the coming fiscal year. The monthly Adult Book Club and Books and Beans will still occur in August. Programing such as storytimes and special events will resume Sep. 1. Beetlejuice Jr. Auditions

Join us for auditions for Beetlejuice Jr. Auditions Aug. 3 and 4 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at KMC Onstage, Bldg. 3232 on Kleber Kaserne. Auditions are for youth, ages 8 to 18. Show dates are Oct. 16 to 18, Oct. 23 to 25, and Oct. 30 to Nov. 1. This 60-minute adaptation of the hit Broadway musical brings the spooky, hilarious story of Lydia Deetz and the mischievous bio-exorcist ghost to the stage for young performers. Kaiserslautern’s End of Summer Car Show

Registration for the Kaiserslautern’s End of Summer Car Show is Aug. 19 to Sep. 19. Cost is $10 per vehicle. The car show is Sep. 19 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Pulaski Park on Pulaski Barracks. Car-show participation for judging and prizes are open to all military affiliated ID card holders with or without SOFA status, to include active duty, reserve, retired, veteran, family member, and DOD/DA/DAF civilians. There will be 5 categories: Best European; Best Muscle Car; Best American Car; Best JDM and Best Old Timer (must be 25 years or older). Pup’s and Cup’s

The Java Café at Rhine Ordnance Barracks will celebrate National Dog Day on Aug. 26 with a special offer for visiting pet owners. Customers who purchase any coffee will receive a free “puppuccino” for their dog, provided the pet is present. The event, called Pup’s and Cup’s, will run from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the café in Bldg. 273. The promotion aims to highlight and appreciate the installation’s fourlegged family members. Prost, Prose & Paint

Raise your glass and your creativity at Prost, Prose & Paint, a sip-and-paint with a literary twist, on select dates in 2026 at 6 p.m. in Strikers Bowling Center, Bldg. 8105 on Smith Barracks. Dates: July 16, and Oct. 15.  This is for those 18 and older. Food and beverages are available for purchase. No outside food or beverages permitted. Pick-a-Pro Open

Pick your favorite pro in ‘The Open’ and take off whatever they shoot under par off your own score! This 18-hole Pick-a-Pro Open tournament is July 19 at the Rolling Hills Golf Course, Bldg. 8888 on Wetzel Kaserne.  This solo player tournament will be played the weekend of The Open and winner announced after ‘The Open’ and on the Baumholder Rolling Hills Golf Course Facebook group and posted in the pro shop the following Monday. Regular rules and regulations apply. Stick around the club house to watch the ending of the 154th Open, Royal Birkdale and enjoy drinks and refreshments. Pickleball Tournament

Registration for the Pickleball Tournament is July 20 to Aug. 13. The tournament will be held on Saturday, Aug. 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Kleber Physical Fitness Center, Bldg. 3234/3235 on Kleber Kaserne. Cost is $20 per team (Doubles). Register with at Kleber Physical Fitness Center. Format is doubles, timed rounds, round robin and two skill brackets. SKIES Irish Dance Classes

Register your child now for SKIES Unlimited Irish Dance Classes for ages 4 to 18 at the SKIES Bldg. 3819 on Landstuhl Post. Summer camps are currently offered for July 20 to 23, Monday to Thursday. Flag Football & Soccer Start Smart Enrollments

Start Smart Flag Football and Soccer enrollments for Kaiserslautern is now to July 27 or when slots are full. Cost is $25. Start Smart is a parent/ child interactive program for 3–4-year-olds, led by a Sports/ Fitness Specialist.  Start Smart teaches children the skills they need to play organized sports in a FUN, non-competitive environment over the course of six, 45-minute sessions. Flag football is offered July 13 to 17 at 5 p.m. on Landstuhl Post. Soccer is offered Aug. 3 to 7 at 5 p.m. on Landstuhl Post. Baumholder Fall Start Smart

Baumholder Fall Start Smart registration for ages 2 to 4, for the Baumholder community is now to Aug. 16. Sports offered are soccer, cheer and flag football for ages 3 and 4, and Move & Play for ages 2 to 3.  Start Smart is a Child/Parent interactive program led by a CYS Sports & Fitness Specialist. Baumholder Fall Sports Coaches Needed

Volunteer coach recruitment is underway for the upcoming fall season, with openings in youth sports coaching across Soccer, Flag Football, Cheer, Volleyball, Cross Country, Golf, Archery, Bowling and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The program offers benefits such as volunteer hours toward awards and promotion, up to a 100% sportsfee discount for coaches’ children and signature Baumholder sports gear. Volunteers play a critical role in supporting the community and strengthening the mission. Landstuhl Youth Center Summer Trips

Get ready for the best summer ever! The Landstuhl Youth Center is offering a summer trip series that’s all about fun, friends, and adventure. Trips are happening now to the week of Aug. 10; they’ll lead exciting excursions twice a week. Registration is now opened and runs thru the summer. Participants can look forward to new places, new experiences, and even two multi-day trips, making it a summer they’ll never forget! Youth Sports Spartan Obstacle Challenge

Registration for the Baumholder Youth Sports & Fitness’ Youth Spartan Obstacle Challenge Event is Aug. 3 to 14, at Parent Central Services, Bldg. 8876 on Wetzel Kaserne or WebTrac. The challenge is Aug. 15 at 11 a.m. on Minick Field. This is for youth, aged 5 to 18.  Participants will have the opportunity to test their physical skills while traversing through a high-octane obstacle course with a Spartan theme. Youth who conquer this Spartan challenge will be awarded with a Baumholder exclusive Spartan gift. Free Dance Lessons at Armstrong’s Club

Patrons can learn Two-Step and other dance styles with the free beginner dance lessons now to Aug. 13.  This is the final season for this program. These classes are open sessions, once a week, until Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Armstrong’s Club, Bldg. 1036 on Vogelweh Housing. There will also be line-dance workshops offered on selected Thursday evenings from 7 to 8 p.m. at Armstrong’s Club. Dog Obedience Training

Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation has dog obedience training starting at eight-weeks of age held Saturdays at the Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation Motor Pool, Bldg. 2902 on Pulaski Barracks. Classes are one hour, with time slots between 9 a.m. to noon depending on the size of the dog. Cost is $15 per dog. This fee must be paid in advance by close of business Friday either in person at Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation or by calling 493-4117 or 0631-3406-4117. SKIES Gymnastics

Enrollment is now open for SKIES Unlimited gymnastics for ages 1 to 18 in the Kaiserslautern Community. SOS Survivor Support Group

The Army Community Service Survivor Outreach Services hosts a SOS Survivor Support Group second Thursday of every month from 5 to 7 p.m. in Building 3820 (next to the Thrift Shop), second floor conference room on Landstuhl Post. Registration is required and must be done by 2 p.m. the day of the meeting by calling the ACS front desk at 531-2863/2851 or 0611-143-531-2863/2851. This is an ongoing monthly support group for surviving family members of deceased active duty service members.

Latin Nights at the Rheinlander!

The last Friday of the month is Latin Night from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., in the ballroom of the Rheinlander Community Club, Bldg. 8085 on Smith Barracks. The Salsa Band Borinkuba will perform live several Latin music favorites, such as Salsa, Merengue and Bachata.  Food is available from 8 to 11 p.m. This event is for those 18 and older, who are I.D. card holders.
