Medical Readiness Command, Europe September 18, 2026
RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany – Soldiers from across Medical Readiness Command, Europe, along with Lt. Gen. Mary K. Izaguirre, The Army Surgeon General and Command Sgt. Maj. John E. Dobbins, Command Sergeant Major for U.S. Army Medical Command, took part in the 9/11 Memorial Ceremony and March at Ramstein Air Base, Germany the morning of Sept. 11, 2026. The solemn event was widely attended by U.S. servicemembers, family members and German and American firefighters. This event marks 25 years since the terror attacks which claimed the lives of 2,977 people at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany – U.S. Army Col. Christian Labra, an Army physician and combat veteran, was guest speaker at the Ramstein Air Base 9/11 Memorial Ceremony on Sept. 11, 2026. The solemn event was widely attended by U.S. servicemembers, family members and German and American first responders. This event marked 25 years since the terror attacks which claimed the lives of 2,977 people at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Labra, a 2001 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, is currently a physician serving at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany.
