Congratulating USAFE for 65 years of service

    On behalf of the Virginia Military Institute, I send my heartiest congratulations in celebration of the 65th anniversary of U.S. Air Forces in Europe.
    As the oldest, continuous active Air Force major command, USAFE has a long and storied history of distinguished service in combat theatres. It has also been extremely effective in relief and humanitarian efforts – a superb record in times of both war and peace.
    All of us at VMI are proud of the ongoing efforts of USAFE through the men and women under your command. Best wishes to you, your staff, and all of the Airmen.
