The 86th Airlift Wing Retiree Activities Office invites members of the Kaiserslautern Military Community to celebrate Retiree Appreciation Day at the Ramstein Officer’s Club on Ramstein Air Base, Oct. 18, starting at 9:30 a.m.

All military retirees, dependents, and family members are invited to attend. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and a light breakfast will be served.

Maj. Kristin L. Ka’auamo, U.S. Air Forces Europe and Air Forces Africa standardization and evaluation chief, said the purpose of Retiree Appreciation Day is to show appreciation for and take care of our retirees and veterans, as well as to get information out.

“It’s a good platform for information sharing about TRICARE changes that have come down over the year, including vision and dental.” Ka’auamo said. “We also do free dental care which I think is one of the things people look forward to the most since they can’t come on base regularly. There are a couple WWII veterans that will be there this year. It’s a great opportunity even for the younger volunteers to be able to give a personal thank you to people.”

The event will consist of guest speakers, information tables, raffles, a C-130J Super Hercules aircraft tour and more.

To RSVP you can email the 86th Airlift Wing Retiree Activities Office at 86aw.rao@us.af.mil. For any questions, contact the Retiree Activities Office at 480-5486, commercially at 06371-47-5486 or by email.
