Kickboxing

Kickboxing is a martial art and combat sport of attack and defense in which competitors wear boxing gloves and throw punches as in boxing and kick with their bare feet as in Karate and many other martial arts. Kickboxing is a combination of combat techniques; self-defense sport, exercise and philosophy. The art in general emphasizes kicks thrown from a mobile stance using the legs’ greater reach and power to disable the opponent from a distance. It is not only kicking and boxing, but a way of thinking and living. The main goal in kickboxing is to achieve total body physical fitness through proper training. Available for ages 6+. For more information or to register, please contact Parent Central Services, Rhine Ordnance Barracks, Bldg. 162, 541-9066; 0611-143-541-9065/9066/9067.
