In an emergency situation, Airmen from the command post are behind the scenes briefing important information to commanders. Much like in action movies, such as “The Avengers” or “Transformers,” there is a control center of some type with Airmen or other military members working diligently to resolve issues.

When the weight of the Uniformed Code of Military Justice is bearing down, who can someone turn to? Who provides someone with legal representation? Who knows an Airman’s rights when that Airman is under questioning or administrative actions?

Members of the 86th Civil Engineer Squadron help design blueprints for buildings developed on Ramstein by mapping and measuring every facility, parking lot and airfield strip that is constructed or demolished on base.

They come from different walks of life into the Air Force, entrusted with thousands of lives, millions of dollars in cargo and repairing the greatest fleet in the Air Force.

Service members usually end up in the spotlight because of their ability to get the job done efficiently, going above and beyond to make it happen no matter what. Though that plays a big part, for one U.S. Air Forces in Europe and Air Forces Africa Airman, standing out is not just because of her talent for “making it happen,” but her ability to pour her soul into her work in the form of music.
