Whether in a person’s workplace or in response to an emergency, the 86th Aerospace Medicine Squadron bioenvironmental engineering flight is there to ensure the safety of Airmen executing their mission by identifying and eliminating threats in the workplace.

Imagine being a single Airman, living in the dorms in Europe, possibly being away from family for the first time. Where do you go to make friends and get established in the area?

Service members usually end up in the spotlight because of their ability to get the job done efficiently, going above and beyond to make it happen no matter what. Though that plays a big part, for one U.S. Air Forces in Europe and Air Forces Africa Airman, standing out is not just because of her talent for “making it happen,” but her ability to pour her soul into her work in the form of music.

Toppling mountains, conquering castles, bombing down a snowy slope and a plethora of other adventures, activities and the supplies needed for a successful journey can be gathered from the 86th Force Support Squadron’s Outdoor Recreation shop located inside the KMCC.

It’s 2 a.m. and darkness looms over the base. Offices are deserted and the streets are quiet, but out on the runway a single light cart glows, cutting through the thick fog and mist.
