News for the Ramstein, Kaiserslautern, Landstuhl & Baumholder military communities in Germany 
The Messeplatz fairgrounds in Kaiserslautern will turn into a big amusement park today to Oct. 24, when the city will sponsor its traditional “Oktoberkerwe,” or October carnival. The event will feature rides for adults and children, beer gardens, and a wide range of merchandise as well as food and candy specialties.
Motorists must be extremely careful now during fall and be aware of additional dangers on the streets. There are fog, storm, black ice and deer passing.

The second culinary beer hike with brewer market will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday in Landstuhl and Kindsbach.
