Fantasizing about an exotic getaway but finding yourself strapped for cash? A “Space-A” seat aboard a military aircraft might be just your ticket to that vacation of your dreams.

Bad Münster am Stein/Ebernburg will hold its 27th medieval market with jousting tournaments today through Sunday. The event with more than 100 stands and craftsmen will be located in the center of Ebernburg. The knights tournament will take place near the banks of the Nahe River, in front Rotenfels, a large, red, sandstone rock.

The fifth culinary hike will take place Saturday and Sunday in Rodenbach.

Each year on the second Sunday in September, Berglangenbach, which belongs to the Baumholder Union Community, holds its annual farmers and arts and crafts market. For the 14th year, the village will be the stage for about 100 regional farmers and vendors Sunday.

There’s so much music planned for this year’s Stadtfest Landstuhl, it might as well be called Landstuhlapalooza.

“Swinging Lautern” will be the motto of Kaiserslautern’s annual Barbarossa fest Thursday through Sept. 7 in the center of town.

The Gartenschau Kaiserslautern is still decked out in the colors of late summer even though its next seasonal event is on its way.
