The Ramstein Airman & Family Readiness Center hosted an Open House
from 1 to 3 p.m. Nov. 25. More than 100 visitors came to see the new
and exciting changes that have taken place.

A few times a year, the kitchens of a nation cook up very similar foods.

Thanksgiving turkey. Christmas ham. Easter bread.

Zermatt, Switzerland, is a fabulously posh ski resort town. With the
powerful, yet benevolent face of the famous Matterhorn beaming down on
this town, it is a perfect spot for rich and committed snow bunnies to
come and play in a winter wonderland.

The Christmas market in Kaiserslautern will take place Monday through
Dec. 22. It expands from Schillerplatz to Stiftskirche and consists of
more than 40 little wooden houses and booths decorated with fir tree
garlands and light bulbs.

Landstuhl holds its traditional Christmas market, called St. Andreas Markt, Nov. 29 and 30 in the center of town.

Patrons are immediately going to see the improvements made at the
Landstuhl Community Club at its grand reopening 5 to 7 p.m. today, said
the manager Jeff Holmes.
