Commentary

What do people expect from good leadership? I believe taking command of a
situation, providing guidance, mentorship, respect, communication and
being honest to our people is how we demonstrate leadership.

With the busiest season for permanent change of station moves winding
down, departures from the KMC have gone down but arrivals have
dramatically increased.

As the KMC transportation officer, I am committed to making every move a
better experience for service members, Department of Defense civilians
and their families.

As both an Airman and a commander, I have witnessed and taken part in
countless change of command ceremonies. With each ceremony, I am struck
with the symbolism and transitions that take place with the passing of
the colors, the formation of the troops, and the first and final
salutes.

It is truly a remarkable honor to take the flag as your new commander.

I have the honor to serve as the 86th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron
commander. In that capacity, it has been my pleasure to share the
uniqueness of the U.S. aeromedical evacuation system with numerous
visitors, as well as with colleagues from partner countries.

Mission success in the Air Force has always required a high level of
