Ramstein Bazaar coming Sept. 14 to 17

Ramstein is scheduled to host its 53rd Annual Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 14 to 16, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 17, on the Ramstein flightline. The event, hosted by the 86th Force Support Squadron in partnership with the Ramstein Officers’ Spouses’ Club, is one of the most anticipated happenings of the year, according to event organizers.

Chief of Staff Gen. David L. Goldfein listens to Charlie Searchwell, commissary head bagger, Aug. 21 on Ramstein. As a teenager, Gen. Goldfein worked with Searchwell as a bagger at the Ramstein Commissary. Searchwell has worked at the commissary for nearly 50 years and has known Goldfein for more than 40 years. The CSAF passed through Ramstein on his way back to the states after visiting Airmen at various locations throughout the Middle East.
