Chief Warrant Officer 2 Lawrence "Shane" Colton and Inge Colton on their wedding day May 5, 1995, at Landstuhl, Germany. Colton was an attack helicopter pilot assigned to the Army's 1st Battalion, 227th Aviation Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood, Texas, who was shot down April 11, 2004, in Baghdad, Iraq. Inge Colton and other spouse survivors will be honored on Gold Star Spouse Day April 5.

The event took place at a newly established training ground, which featured a mock village where various scenarios can occur. Exercise Silver Flag, which includes the EOD training, takes place more than once a year.

Megan Nunez, a personal financial counselor for a military contractor in Baumholder, provides financial recommendations to a client. Nunez received her Accredited Financial Counselor certificate in February 2016 from the FINRA Foundation Military Spouse Fellowship Program, which offers military spouses transferable job skills as accredited financial counselors.
