NORMANDY, France — More than 100 U.S. Air Force Airmen in Normandy, France, finalized preparations recently to commemorate the 71st anniversary of D-Day.

Patients were transferred into an ambulance where they were transported to receive further medical care June 8 on Ramstein. Ramstein Airmen looked after the patients as they were being transported by military members from the Strategic Airlift Capability Heavy Airlift Wing based at  Papa Air Base, Hungary. This was the first time both bases joined together for a critical care aeromedical transport.
