Sunshine and somber music filled Vogelweh’s chapel as Army law enforcement Soldiers honored the memory of Sgt. Joseph Peters — the first special agent from the Army’s Criminal Investigation Command, known as CID — to die in combat since the command was established in 1971.

AF civilian retiree ID card to be replaced
Retired Air Force civilians who use the Air Force Form 354, “Civilian Identification Card,” to access USAF installations have until early 2014 — when the AF354 will be rescinded — to get a Department of Defense Civilian Retiree ID Card or other access credentials, Air Force Personnel Center officials said.

Retiree Appreciation Day provides valuable info
A Retiree Appreciation Day is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Ramstein Officers’ Club. Coffee, juice and pastries will be served from 8 to 9 a.m., followed by formal briefings and guest speakers from 9 to 11:45.
