Airmen, civilians and host nation members of the 521st Air Mobility
Operations Wing welcomed their new commander in a ceremony July 30 in
Hangar 5 on Ramstein.

I have the honor to serve as the 86th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron
commander. In that capacity, it has been my pleasure to share the
uniqueness of the U.S. aeromedical evacuation system with numerous
visitors, as well as with colleagues from partner countries.

Leadership from the 86th Airlift Wing and 21st Theater Sustainment
Command toured facilities on Ramstein Air Base and Panzer Kaserne
Tuesday.

The Air Force Safety Center released a letter of interpretation this
year prohibiting the use of listening and entertainment devices,
including single ear pieces and external speakers, when on a roadway.

Choosing Wisely is an initiative aimed at promoting conversations
between providers and patients by helping patients choose care that is
supported by evidence, not duplicative of other tests or procedures
already received, free from harm and truly necessary.
