than two million family members of uniformed service active duty
personnel, members of the Selected Reserve and Individual Ready Reserve,

Third Air Force commander visits 86th Airlift Wing

Lt. Gen. Craig A. Franklin, 3rd Air Force commander, visited the Airmen
of the 86th Airlift Wing April 11 to see firsthand how they keep the
base operationally ready.

The visit gave Franklin and his wife Julie, the opportunity to see how
the Airmen of the 86th AW work together to support the European and
African theater of operations and build strong bonds with partners
throughout Europe. This marked the first official visit since the
general assumed command March 30.

rest stop in Johanniskreuz after an afternoon of riding our bikes. The
majority of us being experienced riders and all of us being Motorcycle
Safety Foundation Rider Coaches, we eventually began to talk about
safety, new riders and mishaps.
