News for the Ramstein, Kaiserslautern, Landstuhl & Baumholder military communities in Germany Four probable cases of novel H1N1 influenza, otherwise known as swine
flu, have now been confirmed positive among a small group of patients
at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, bringing to six the number of
confirmed cases there since June 4.
All of the patients were at Landstuhl for medical treatment unrelated to H1N1 and sharing a common area.
President Barack Obama passed through Ramstein before spending time
with wounded warriors at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center June 5.
Personnel moving stateside may take most types of pets with them;
however, endangered species laws prevent them from taking some turtles,
birds and reptiles.

As I walked through the American cemetery at Omaha Beach, I found it
difficult to wrap my mind around a battle so large and brutal that
thousands of American Soldiers died in a single day. I imagined
thousands of Soldiers pouring onto the beaches 65 years ago; the
magnitude of the
conflict must have been overwhelming to them as well.
