professionals from the Air Force Safety Center arrived at Ramstein
Sept. 17 to conduct an Organizational Safety Assessment, which is a
proactive mishap prevention program that aids commanders in risk
assessment and decision making.

After more than three years, the German Bundeswehr officially relinquished its role as guardian of the Ramstein gates on Wednesday. Guard duty was handed off to members of the 435th Security Forces Squadron at 10 p.m. that same day.
