Over the Fourth of July weekend, the KMC Red Tails overcame adversity and persevered to beat Germany’s NRW in a hard-fought two out of three series to win the German Little League National Championship and advance to the European Regional Tournament as Germany’s representative.
Soldiers from the 21st Theater Sustainment Command and other organizations around Germany received in depth physical readiness training through the Master Fitness Trainer course hosted May 29 to June 26 in the KMC.
On a picture-perfect Sunday, in a beautiful new facility at Clay Kaserne in Wiesbaden, the KMC Little League Baseball Majors division All-Stars — the “Red Tails” — completed a two-day
sweep of the Stuttgart Panthers and Wiesbaden Warriors All-Stars to capture the Little League Baseball District 1 Championship.
Seven brilliant sunrises, seven breath-taking sunsets, 80 locks, 26 lock-keepers, 158 kilometers, 35 French villages, seven Americans and countless memories. This was our boating holiday on the “canal de Bourgogne,” or Burgundy Canal, in central eastern France.
Contrary to assumptions that the longer days of summer inspire people to be more active, many people still struggle to find the time to exercise during the summer. We know we should move more, but oftentimes hot weather, traveling and summer breaks decrease our motivation to be active.
