
Thursday Night Comedy Show
Described by the International Comedy Club as “one of the best comedy writers in Ireland, Ger Staunton headlines the Thursday Comedy Show Sep. 18 from 8 to 10 p.m. at the Kazabra Club, Bldg. 2057 on Vogelweh. Feature Comedians are Sharon Em, who is an Amsterdam-based Irish Comedian, and Martin Angolo, who is an award-winning Irish comedian. Keeping with the Irish lineup is local comedian and a “wee lass” from Alaska, Erin Crouch will be hosting the show. This is an 18+ event. Doors open at 7 p.m., tickets are $15 at the door. 10-Miler Run on ROB
Long-distance runners of all levels are invited to participate in a new 10-miler fun run on Sep. 27 from 10 a.m. to noon on Rhine Ordnance Barracks. The run will begin at 10 a.m., with registration at 9:30 a.m. at the Special Events Center, Bldg. 237 on ROB. Participants may also preregister online via WebTrac and are encouraged to bring their tickets to the event. The entry fee is $8. Medals will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers. Army Community Service Job Fair
The USAG Rheinland-Pfalz Army Com-mu-nity Service is hosting a Job Fair Sep. 25 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Kazabra Club, Bldg. 2057 on Vogelweh. This is a job fair where ID card holders will be able to network with more than 25 Government Agencies and Contractors with positions to fill, such as AAFES, DeCA, Stars and Stripes and many more. The Perfect Game Challenge
Bowlers are invited to test their skills in the Perfect Game Challenge at Strikers Bowling Center, located in Building 8105 on Smith Barracks. Junior Librarian
Landstuhl Library invites aspiring school-age librarians to curate a personalized book display for the community. Participants will select titles and share a brief biography along with the reasons behind their choices. Displays will remain showcased for one month. Baumholder Library Programs Paused in August
The Baumholder Library will be pausing programming for the month of August. The library will return to their normally scheduled programming on Sep. 1. This pause will affect all recurring programs except for the Summer Reading Program, Sketch Masters, and TTRPG (Tabletop Role Playing Game Campaigns), which will finish out the campaign that started in July. Kaiserslautern’s End of Summer Car Show
Registration for the Kaiserslautern’s End of Summer Car Show is now to Sep. 6. Cost is $10 per vehicle. The car show is Sep. 6 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Pulaski Automotive Skills Center’s parking lot in front of building 2859 on Pulaski Barracks. Car-show participation for judging and prizes are open to all military affiliated ID card holders with or without SOFA status, to include: active duty, reserve, retired, veteran, family member, and DOD/DA/DAF civilians. Dog Obedience Training
Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation has dog obedience training starting at eight-weeks of age held Saturdays at the Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation Motor Pool, Bldg. 2902 on Pulaski Barracks. Classes are one hour, with time slots between 9 a.m. to noon depending on the size of the dog. Cost is $15 per dog. This fee must be paid in advance by close of business Friday either in person at Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation or by calling 493-4117 or 0631-3406-4117. Enrollment is now open for SKIES Unlimited gymnastics for ages 1 to 18 in the Kaiserslautern Community. SOS Survivor Support Group
The Army Community Service Survivor Outreach Services hosts a SOS Survivor Support Group second Thursday of every month from 5 to 7 p.m. in Building 3820 (next to the Thrift Shop), second floor conference room on Landstuhl Post. This is an ongoing monthly support group for surviving family members of deceased active duty service members.
Latin Nights at the Rheinlander!
The last Friday of the month is Latin Night from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., in the ballroom of the Rheinlander Community Club, Bldg. 8085 on Smith Barracks. The Salsa Band Borinkuba will perform live several Latin music favorites, such as Salsa, Merengue and Bachata. Food is available from 8 to 11 p.m. This event is for those 18 and older, who are I.D. card holders. No cover charge.
