Dr. Martin Luther King Memorial Basketball Tournament

Registration for the USAG Rheinland-Pfalz Intramural Sports Program’s Dr. Martin Luther King Memorial Basketball Tournament is now until Jan. 9. Game days are Jan. 16 to 18 with first game tip-off on Jan. 16 at 11:30 a.m. at the Hall of Champions Physical Fitness Center, Bldg. 8105 on Smith Barracks.  Cost is $450. Cashless payment only. Teams opting to pay via Transfer Between Activities (TBA) should contact the Point of Contact (POC) directly. Mandatory coaches meeting is Jan. 16 at 9:30 a.m. at the Hall of Champions Physical Fitness Center. Your Friendly Neighborhood NYE Party

Armstrong’s Club, Bldg. 1036 on Vogelweh Housing, will host “Your Friendly Neighborhood New Year’s Eve Party” on Dec. 31 in the bar. KMC Onstage “Piper” Musical Auditions

The Award-Winning KMC Onstage announces auditions for the musical “Piper” on Jan. 13 and 14 at KMC Onstage, Bldg. 3232 on Kleber Kaserne.  The Youth Performance Class (Youth Chorus) Audition for ages 8 to 18 will start at 4:30 p.m. each day. The auditions for adults and teens, age 16 and older, will start at 7 p.m.  Experience is not necessary. Prost, Prose & Paint

Raise your glass and your creativity at Prost, Prose & Paint, a sip-and-paint with a literary twist, on select dates in 2026 at 6 p.m. in Strikers Bowling Center, Bldg. 8105 on Smith Barracks. Dates: Jan 15, April 16, July 16, and Oct. 15.  This is for those 18 and older. Food and beverages are available for purchase. No outside food or beverages permitted. Living Well Expo

The Living Well Expo will kick off the new year with free programs designed to promote fitness, nutrition, and overall wellness on Jan. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Kleber Physical Fitness Center, Bldg. 3235 on Kleber Kaserne. Scheduled sessions include strength training, mobility, meditation, nutrition guidance, and cardio classes, with opportunities to meet certified trainers and win personal training and fitness class tickets. Boys and Girls Clubs of America Fine Arts Gala

The Child and Youth Services are hosting the free Annual Boys and Girls Clubs of America Fine Arts Gala Jan. 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Rheinlander Community Center, Bldg. 8085 on Smith Barracks in Baumholder. This event is for all ages and is open to all community members. Registration is not required.  This event will showcase the fine arts and photography of youth members from the Baumholder community school age and teen programs from the past year. Keystone Summit

Keystone Summit will be held at the Youth Center on Ramstein Air Base Dec. 13 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. This is a free event open to all Keystone members.  Keystone youth members can sign up through their Army or Air Force Youth programs. This summit will include Boy’s and Girl’s Clubs of America style conference sessions, meals and snacks, community service opportunity, and a trip to Fun Park Trampoline Park, and limited-edition Keystone SWAG. Baumholder Start Smart Winter Season Registration

Registration for Start Smart Winter Season for the Baumholder community is now to Dec. 14.  Start Smart is a Child/ Parent interactive program led by a CYS Sports & Fitness Specialist. Cost is $30. Sports offered are basketball, ages 3 and 4, and Cheer, ages 3 and 4, and Move & Play (ages 2 and 3). Baumholder Youth Winter Sports Season Registration

Registration for winter youth sports for the Baumholder community is now to Dec. 14. Sports offered are basketball, ages 5 to 15, and cheerleading, ages 5 to 15. Cost is $65. A current Health Assessment/ Sports Physical must be on file and valid until March 15, 2026, to participate.  Sports clinics offered are bowling (ages 8 to 15), volleyball (ages 8 to 15), Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, (ages 3 to 12), indoor soccer, (ages 5 to 15) and pre-season strength and conditioning (ages 5 to 18). Express Ski Trips

Outdoor Recreation will host ski express trips from December 2025 through March 2026, offering round-trip transportation and equipment with each package. Certified instructors are available to provide lessons for an additional $50. Destinations include Zugspitze, St. Anton, Garmisch-Hausberg, the Black Forest, Grindelwald in Switzerland and more. Arts & Crafts Center Seeks Skilled Instructors

The Arts & Crafts Center, located in Bldg. 8104 on Smith Barracks, is seeking instructors to teach mosaic, stained glass, painting and other specialized artistic skills. Volunteer or contractor options are available. The Java Café Winter Drink Special “Joyful Moments” is happening now until Jan. 5. The special is Toffee Nut Latte, Toffee Nut Frappuccino and Hot Chocolate. Volunteer Coaches Needed for Winter Season

Baumholder Youth Sports and Fitness is recruiting volunteer coaches for the upcoming winter season. Coaches are needed for basketball (ages 5–15), cheer (ages 5–15), bowling (ages 8–15), volleyball (ages 9–15), Brazilian jiu jitsu (ages 3–15) and indoor soccer (ages 5–15). Volunteer benefits include eligibility for hours toward awards and promotion, up to a 100 percent discount on sports fees for enrolled children, exclusive Baumholder sports gear and the opportunity to make a positive impact on the community and its mission. Santa’s Special

Midnight Bowl-a-thon

Strikers Bowling Center, Bldg. 8105 on Smith Barracks, will host Monthly Midnight Bowling on select Fridays from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. The event is open to adults 18 and older and costs $15 per person, which includes lane use and shoe rental. Scheduled dates include Jan. 9, Feb. 6, March 6, April 10, May 15, June 12, July 10, Aug. 7 and Sep. 4. Find out more at baumholder.armymwr.com.

Dog Obedience Training

Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation has dog obedience training starting at eight-weeks of age held Saturdays at the Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation Motor Pool, Bldg. 2902 on Pulaski Barracks. Classes are one hour, with time slots between 9 a.m. to noon depending on the size of the dog. Cost is $15 per dog. This fee must be paid in advance by close of business Friday either in person at Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation or by calling 493-4117 or 0631-3406-4117. SKIES Gymnastics

Enrollment is now open for SKIES Unlimited gymnastics for ages 1 to 18 in the Kaiserslautern Community. SOS Survivor Support Group

The Army Community Service Survivor Outreach Services hosts a SOS Survivor Support Group second Thursday of every month from 5 to 7 p.m. in Building 3820 (next to the Thrift Shop), second floor conference room on Landstuhl Post. Registration is required and must be done by 2 p.m. the day of the meeting by calling the ACS front desk at 531-2863/2851 or 0611-143-531-2863/2851. This is an ongoing monthly support group for surviving family members of deceased active duty service members.

Latin Nights at the Rheinlander!

The last Friday of the month is Latin Night from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., in the ballroom of the Rheinlander Community Club, Bldg. 8085 on Smith Barracks. The Salsa Band Borinkuba will perform live several Latin music favorites, such as Salsa, Merengue and Bachata.  Food is available from 8 to 11 p.m. This event is for those 18 and older, who are I.D. card holders.
