Spring Bazaar

Spring Bazaar kicks off the season March 13 to 15 at the Special Events Center, Bldg. 237 on Rhine Ordnance Barracks, offering shoppers three days of European goods and specialty finds. Hours run 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Vendors will showcase pottery, antiques, wine, cheese, jewelry and other unique items, with all prices in U.S. dollars and cashless payments only. Thursday Night Comedy Show

The Thursday Night Comedy show has a new location, lower prices and the same fun. Maureen Langan headlines the Thursday Comedy Show Feb.19 from 8 to 10 p.m. in the bar at Armstrong’s Club, Bldg. 1036 on Vogelweh Housing. Feature Comedian is Bengt Washburn. Host is local comedian, Erin Crouch. This is an 18+ event. Doors open at 7 p.m., tickets are $10 at the door.  Payment can be made with credit and debit cards or U.S dollars. Community Job Fair

USAG RheinlandPfalz Army Community Service will host a Community Job Fair on Thursday, March 12 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Rheinlander Community Club, Bldg. 8085 on Smith Barracks. The event is open to all ID card holders and features employers from the Baumholder and Kaiserslautern communities, with some offering sameday interviews and hiring. Landstuhl CYS Job Fair

Child & Youth Services will host an in-person job fair March 17 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Landstuhl Youth Center, Bldg. 93812 on Landstuhl Post. CYS is hiring Child & Youth Program Assistants for locations in Miesau, Landstuhl, Kleber and Sembach. Baumholder Recreation Center: You Spoke; We Listened

The Baumholder Recreation Center, Bldg. 8218 on Smith Barracks, will extend its weekend hours starting Friday, Feb. 20. Responding directly to community feedback, the center will now stay open until 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, instead of closing at 8 p.m. The new hours will be 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on both days. Nutrition & Stress Relief Program in Baumholder

The USAG RheinlandPfalz Nutrition & Stress Relief Program is available in Baumholder for civilian and military groups by appointment at the Hall of Champions Physical Fitness Center, Bldg. 8105 on Smith Barracks. The ongoing program offers nutrition education, guided diet plans and stressrelief training, including meditation, guided imagery and progressive muscle relaxation. Kaiserslautern Start Smart Registration

Start Smart baseball and soccer registration for Kaiserslautern youth, ages 3-4, is Feb. 23 to March 13 (or until teams are full).  Cost is $30. Start Smart is a parent and child interactive program for ages 3 to 4, led by a sports and fitness specialist. Beginner’s Crochet

Beginner’s Crochet returns to the Baumholder Library in 2026 with a series of free, handson classes for community members ages 15 and older. The workshop teaches the basics of crochet, including how to hold a hook and create simple stitches for a first project. An instructor will guide participants through each step, and all materials will be provided. Three sessions are scheduled for 2026: March 10, 17 and 24; June 9, 16 and 24; and Sept. 8, 15 and 22. Each class begins at 4 p.m.at the library. Registration is required by email at baumholderlibrary@army.mil.

Bookmark Decorating Contest at the Baumholder Library

The Baumholder library is hosting a Bookmark Decorating Contest.  From March 1 to 15, patrons can submit bookmark designs by age categories: 0-5, 6-9, 10-12, 13-17, and 18+. From March 16-31, bookmark designs will be voted on by the community. Winners from each age category will get their bookmarks printed, and bookmarks given away at the library. Registration for Baumholder 2026 Spring Start Smart 

Registration for Spring Start Smart for the Baumholder community is March 2 to 29. Sports offered are soccer, ages 3 to 4, baseball, ages 3 to 4, and move and play, ages 2 to 3. Cost is $30. Start Smart is a child and parent interactive program instructed by a Child and Youth Services fitness specialist. Registration for Spring Super Conditioning Program

Registration for the Baumholder Spring Super Conditioning Program for ages 5 to 15 is March 2 to 29. Cost is $30. AFE Brings the Laughs

Armed Forces Entertainment “Brings the Laughs” March 6 at 8 p.m. at the Rheinlander Community Club, Bldg. 8085 on Smith Barracks. This is a free show for patrons 18 and older. Comedians are Orlando Leyba, April Macie, Jack Shaw and Vargus Mason.  For more information, visit baumholder.armymwr.com.

Warrior Challenge 5K Run

The Fitness, Athletics and Aquatics Program is proud to host a free Warrior Challenge 5K run with exercises on March 14 starting at 9 a.m. at the Hall of Champions Physical Fitness Center, Bldg. 8105, on Smith Barracks in Baumholder. Piper Creative Writing Workshop

The Landstuhl and Baumholder Libraries will host free creative writing workshops with Avril Callicutt, a local military spouse and playwright of the new KMC Onstage musical “Piper.” Sessions take place March 14 at the Landstuhl Library, Bldg. 3810 on Landstuhl Post, and March 21 at the Baumholder Library, Bldg. 8332 on Smith Barracks, from 1 to 3 p.m. Callicutt will teach participants how to deconstruct a fairy tale to create original work. Attendees will receive pens, a writing journal and a copy of The Pied Piper of Hamelin. The workshop is open to ages 13 and older. Piper Cast Storytime

Come for a magical storytime with the cast of KMC Onstage Musical “Piper” on March 25 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Landstuhl Library, Bldg. 3810 on Landstuhl Post. The world premiere of the new musical “Piper” will be in April. This play is written and composed by Avril Callicutt, a local spouse. Cast members will sing songs from the new musical and read fairy tales, including the Pied Piper of Hamelin, the inspiration for “Piper!” Free and open to kids up to age 6 and their parents. Dog Obedience Training

Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation has dog obedience training starting at eight-weeks of age held Saturdays at the Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation Motor Pool, Bldg. 2902 on Pulaski Barracks. Classes are one hour, with time slots between 9 a.m. to noon depending on the size of the dog. Cost is $15 per dog. This fee must be paid in advance by close of business Friday either in person at Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation or by calling 493-4117 or 0631-3406-4117. SKIES Gymnastics

Enrollment is now open for SKIES Unlimited gymnastics for ages 1 to 18 in the Kaiserslautern Community. SOS Survivor Support Group

The Army Community Service Survivor Outreach Services hosts a SOS Survivor Support Group second Thursday of every month from 5 to 7 p.m. in Building 3820 (next to the Thrift Shop), second floor conference room on Landstuhl Post. Registration is required and must be done by 2 p.m. the day of the meeting by calling the ACS front desk at 531-2863/2851 or 0611-143-531-2863/2851. This is an ongoing monthly support group for surviving family members of deceased active duty service members.

Latin Nights at the Rheinlander!

The last Friday of the month is Latin Night from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., in the ballroom of the Rheinlander Community Club, Bldg. 8085 on Smith Barracks. The Salsa Band Borinkuba will perform live several Latin music favorites, such as Salsa, Merengue and Bachata.  Food is available from 8 to 11 p.m. This event is for those 18 and older, who are I.D. card holders.
